Obama has invited Prof. Gates and Sgt. Crowley to the White House for a couple of beers. Beers! How blue-collar of him!
I hope it doesn't end like this or 30 years from now they'll be talking about the Great Beer War of 2009

Conan O’Brien put it best: “If this works out, the president is going to have Netanyahu and Ahmadinejad over for J├Ągerbombs.”

RASMUSSEN: OBAMA DROPS AGAIN: “The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 29% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11. That’s the first time his ratings have reached double digits in negative territory. . . . Today is the first update based entirely upon interviews conducted after the President’s prime time televised press conference.”

In reading those numbers, what sticks out is the 40% that STRONGLY DISSAPROVE. 40%!
During the race, Obama was sold as the non-partisan/new tone candidate. The one that would bring all people together, not tear them apart.
It seems that now Obama is clearly seen as a polarizing figure. A VERY POLARIZING FIGURE!

Obama vs The Cambridge Police Dept.

2007 Associated Press:

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama got more than an education when he attended Harvard Law School in the late 1980s. He also got a healthy stack of parking tickets, most of which he never paid.

The Illinois Senator shelled out $375 in January – two weeks before he officially launched his presidential campaign – to finally pay for 15 outstanding parking tickets and their associated late fees.

Obama received 17 parking tickets in Cambridge between 1988 and 1991, mostly for parking in a bus stop, parking without a resident permit and failing to pay the meter, records from the Cambridge Traffic, Parking and Transportation office show.

He incurred $140 in fines and $260 in late fees in Cambridge in all, but he paid $25 for two of the tickets in February 1990.

Now tell me again who acted stupidly....................

“There are some who’ve forgotten why we have a military. It’s not to promote war; it’s to be prepared for peace.” Ronald Reagan 1984

In another brilliant move, Obama yesterday killed the production of the US Air Force's finest fighter, the F-22.
Obama and Democrats were quick to point out that this resulted in a savings of 1.75 billion dollars.
Sounds like a lot, no?
NO, it's not! 1.75 billion amounts to one third of one percent of the military budget for 2010.
There was no mention of the number of jobs lost at Lockheed/Boeing and supporting manufacturers.

In another misstep, President Obama on Monday extended by six months a task force charged with determining how terrorism suspects should be interrogated, held in custody or handed over to other countries.
I call this a misstep because Obama campaigned and also promised to quickly close Guantanamo after taking office while having no idea about how to go about doing it.
This is what some people would call "writing checks your ass can't cash"

WASHINGTON (AP) - The White House is being forced to acknowledge the wide gap between its once-upbeat predictions about the economy and today's bleak landscape.

The administration's annual midsummer budget update is sure to show higher deficits and unemployment and slower growth than projected in President Barack Obama's budget in February and update in May, and that could complicate his efforts to get his signature health care and global-warming proposals through Congress.

The release of the update - usually scheduled for mid-July - has been put off until the middle of next month, giving rise to speculation the White House is delaying the bad news at least until Congress leaves town on its August 7 summer recess.

The administration is pressing for votes before then on its $1 trillion health care initiative, which lawmakers are arguing over how to finance.

"Instead of a dream, this routine report could be a nightmare," Tony Fratto, a former Treasury Department official and White House spokesman under President George W. Bush, said of the delayed budget update. "There are some things that can't be escaped."

Allow me to tell you what this means:

1. Don't trust anything that comes out of this administration.

2. Don't trust anything this administration has told you in the past.

3. This administration could care less about the long-range negative effects of their plans.

4. This administration is only concerned with fooling the American public about the economic destruction they are committing.

WASHINGTON - The federal deficit has topped $1 trillion for the first time ever and could grow to nearly $2 trillion by this fall, intensifying fears about higher interest rates, inflation and the strength of the dollar.

BOY! We are in good hands!

In a release touting an agreement between Obama and President Dmitry Medvedev over how to craft a follow-up to the START arms reduction treaty, the White House claimed the document had been signed by one "Barak Obama."

Someone needs to check his birth certificate for the right spelling. Oh, never mind.

G-8 can't agree on global change, which used to be called global warming.

L’AQUILA, Italy — The world’s major industrial nations and emerging powers failed to agree Wednesday on significant cuts in heat-trapping gases by 2050, unraveling an effort to build a global consensus to fight climate change, according to people following the talks
As Obama arrived for three days of meetings with other international leaders, negotiators dropped a proposal that would have committed the world to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50 percent by midcentury and industrialized countries to slashing their emissions by 80 percent.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi claimed the bill was all about JOBS, JOBS, JOBS??
Well if it's all about jobs, why does the bill contain a clause that says:

Workers who lose their jobs if the pending climate change legislation becomes law could get a weekly paycheck for up to three years, subsidies to find new work and other generous benefits -- all courtesy of Uncle Sam -- under a little-noticed provision of the bill.

Touted by its House Democratic authors as a jobs engine, the bill offers extraordinary compensation for those who would lose their paycheck as a consequence of its passage.

Adversely affected employees in oil, coal and other fossil-fuel sector jobs would qualify for a weekly check worth 70 percent of their current salary for up to three years. In addition, they would get $1,500 for job-search assistance and $1,500 for moving expenses from the bill's "climate change worker adjustment assistance" program, which is expected to cost $4.2 billion from 2011 to 2019.

This bill isn't about jobs, it's about JOBS LOST!!!

I have tried to remain silent throughout this entire Michael Jackson 'thing', but when I read this, I just want to scream........ ENOUGH!!!!!!

In death, as in life, Michael Jackson is doing things with fairytale extravagance.

The singer's body will be transported to his funeral in a white carriage led by two horses, instead of the traditional black vehicle, it is understood.

His body will then be placed on show in a glass coffin at Neverland, to give fans a chance to say their personal farewells.

For Gods sake, what is the entire Jackson family doing?

For years, everyone has known that Michael Jackson was a freak, yet his family did nothing while watching his life go down the toilet. Now that he's dead, we see them weeping and mourning as if this whole thing came as a shock. PLEEEASE!

I wonder what the price of admission will be to see Michael Jackson in a glass coffin?

Please, by all means, let the freakness continue!

They're calling it a coup. I call it constitutional law.

"Mr. Zelaya was pressing ahead with a nonbinding referendum to demand a constitutional rewrite to let him seek a second four-year term. The attorney general and Honduran courts declared the vote illegal and warned he'd be prosecuted if he followed through. Mr. Zelaya persisted, even leading a violent mob last week to seize and distribute ballots imported from Venezuela. However, the proper constitutional route was to impeach Mr. Zelaya and then arrest him for violating the law."

Now we have Castro, Chavez, the UN, and Barack 'NO MEDDLIN' Obama screaming bloody murder.
I don't know about you, but when the UN, Castro, Chavez, and now Obama take sides with one guy............................I'M GOING WITH THE OTHER GUY!
