McChrystal out!

He's replaced by General Petraeus.
So let me get this straight?
Senator Obama voted 'present' for the resolution condemning the infamous MoveOn "General Betrayus" ad, and he now removes his hand-picked choice for someone he had no confidence in just 2 years ago..............................................................

UPDATE! Listen to Obama just a couple of years ago

"I'm a Muslim soldier"

A remorseless Faisal Shahzad pleaded guilty to trying to blow-up a bomb at Times Square.

"It's a war," Shahzad told Federal Judge Miriam Cedarbaum.

"I'm going to plead guilty a hundred times over because until the hour the U.S. pulls its forces from Iraq and Afghanistan and stops the drone strikes ... we will be attacking the U.S.," he said. "And I plead guilty to that."

"Did you look around to see who they were?" Cedarbaum asked him of his potential victims.

"Well, the people select the government," Shahzad said. "We consider them all the same. ..."

"Including the children?" the judge demanded.

"Well, the drone hits in Afghanistan and Iraq, they don't see children, they don't see anybody," Shahzad fired back.

"They kill women, children, they kill everybody. It's a war, and in war, they kill people. They're killing all Muslims."

"One has to understand where I'm coming from," Shahzad told the judge. "I consider myself ... a Muslim soldier."

"And it's a war to kill people," he coldly declared.

HELLOOOOOOO!

Can we now cut through the bullshit about him being "affected by the recession" and that Islam is a religion of peace?? Can we do that!??

GOING GREEN!

You want to go green? No, no, no, do you really want to go green?
This is the latest little craze from the green-folks. Dying green.
Here are tips on green funerals, and here is your very own Ecoffin.

Here are the "number" on Green Funerals:

  • 50 million: Trees that are cut down in India each year for funeral pyres. This releases 8 million tons of carbon dioxide.

  • 200: The number of green and woodland burial sites in the U.K.

  • Up to 16 percent: Mercury emissions in the U.K. that come from crematoria because of the fillings in teeth. This percentage is expected to increase to 25 percent by 2020.

  • 1.6 million: Tons of reinforced concrete buried in the U.S. each year in the construction of vaults.
Now won't you please do your part..................................................DIE GREEN.

Let's not address the issue and it will go away.

By failing to address the illegal immigration issue, the Obama administration is 'forcing' states and municipalities to take action. I don't condone this, and it's a bad precedence, but what are these small towns to do?

THE RUSSIANS GET IT!

Russia apparently understand tax policy better than the folks in charge of U.S. tax policy. Not only does Russia have a 13 percent flat tax, but the government has just announced it will eliminate the capital gains tax.

Russia will scrap capital gains tax on long-term direct investment from 2011, President Dmitry Medvedev has said. …Mr Medvedev told the St Petersburg International Economic Forum that long-term direct investment was “necessary for modernization”. …Its oil revenues fund, which has been financing the deficit, is expected to end next year, and the government wants to attract more foreign investment to boost the economy.

Meanwhile, what are the financial wizards in Washington talking a bout.....................CAP & TRADE!

OUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AT WORK.

BIGGER, FATTER, AND INCREDIBLY INEFFICIENT!

But, let's not forget that Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano had her fingers in each pie, and headed up a list of White House honchos storming the airwaves last week to defend the administration's handling of the oil spill.
The White House knew "from day one that this could be a catastrophic failure," she told Meet the Press.

There are motorcycles, and then there's the ROAD ROCKET

AN OFFER BP COULDN'T REFUSE

On October 13, 2008, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson summoned the CEOs of the nation's largest banks into a gilded conference room at the Treasury Department just a stone's throw away from the White House. Each CEO was then handed a one-page document that said their company would agree to sell hundreds of billions worth of equity to the federal government through the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). "We plan to announce the program tomorrow – and that your nine firms will be the initial participants." In case anyone missed the subtle message, Paulson added, "We don’t believe it is tenable to opt out, because doing so would leave you vulnerable and exposed." Sure enough, just like a certain fictional band land leader once did, all nine CEOs signed their respective contracts.

Yesterday, history repeated itself. This time it was the executives of BP who were summoned directly to the White House to have a little chat with the President and Attorney General Eric Holder (who has threatened BP with criminal prosecution).

Forget me. Here's what they (his buddies) are saying.

Keith Olbermann: "Nothing specific at all was said."
Chris Matthews: "I don't sense executive command."
Howard Fineman: "He wasn't specific enough."
Keith Olbermann: "It was a great speech if you were on another planet for the last 57 days."

What were these guys expecting!? ObamaMoses to part the Gulf, walk down 5,000 feet and put a cork in it? Are these guys so under the Obama-Ether they can't come to grips with the fact that Obama is a fraudulent, two-bit, scam artist?

Here is the text of the speech.
I took special note of the following:

As we recover from this recession, the transition to clean energy has the potential to grow our economy and create millions of jobs -– but only if we accelerate that transition. Only if we seize the moment. And only if we rally together and act as one nation –- workers and entrepreneurs; scientists and citizens; the public and private sectors.

The "we" he speaks of is GOVERNMENT. There is all this opportunity, but capitalism and the free-enterprise system just can't take advantage of it. Government is the miracle cure and salvation to our energy problems. What rubbish!

"A few months ago, I approved a proposal to consider new, limited offshore drilling under the assurance that it would be absolutely safe"

And I was told about the Easter Bunny and Santa.

I didn't see the speech, I only read the text, but this was a speech on the same level of a state assemblyman from the state of Illinois.

WHAT OBAMA SHOULD SAY TONIGHT............BUT WON'T!

By: Mona Charen

My fellow Americans: Events of the past 55 days have taught me some valuable lessons about leadership and I'd like to share those with you tonight.

When the Deepwater Horizons rig blew up and spawned a terrible oil spill on April 22, my administration's response was conditioned by decades of liberal and leftist thinking about business and government. My background in academia and community activism had never exposed me to the basics of making business decisions or to the fundamentals of a market economy. To the contrary, my friends on the left and I tended to see businessmen, doctors, bankers -- pretty much anyone who made a profit -- as selfish creeps. "There comes a point when you've made enough money" I scolded, when urging passage of a financial reform bill.

So when the oil spill became a national story, our instinct was to bash the company. "I am angry and frustrated that BP has been unable to stop the leak," Interior Secretary Ken Salazar complained.

Let's go back 4 years .....................

and look at the clip that brought down George Allen.

Do you remember the outrage! After this, Allen was never seen again!
Today we have the Etheridge moment, and the Washington Post calls it a HUG and insists that Bob was ambushed. Poor Bob!

OMG!

Eh, Mr. President, that's not a golf swing. You look like Erkel swinging an ax!
Do yourself a favor, and schedule a bunch of lessons with a PGA teaching pro before going anywhere near a golf course.
And for Gods sake, put your Crackberry in your bag or in the cart.

A funny thing happened on the way to a Pelosi headlined fundraiser.

Yeah, that's Democrat Congressman Bob Etheridge (D-NC2) going off when asked if he supported the "OBAMA AGENDA"
It's only June, and Democrats that are up for re-election in November are getting a little touchy. CAN'T IMAGINE WHY?

UPDATE: Congressman Etheridge 'manned-up' and provide the following response:
“I have seen the video posted on several blogs. I deeply and profoundly regret my reaction and I apologize to all involved. Throughout my many years of service to the people of North Carolina, I have always tried to treat people from all viewpoints with respect. No matter how intrusive and partisan our politics can become, this does not justify a poor response. I have and I will always work to promote a civil public discourse.”
Eh, yeah right, Bob!
UPDATE #2: This is who Bob Etheridge is running against. In case you want to make a donation! I DID!

Where’s the Rah-Rah Sisterhood?

Rachael Larimore over at SLATE really nails the latest primary victories by women....Republican women.

"I’m not surprised that the only primary race to be noted by Feministing is Kamala Harris’ victory in the Democratic race for California attorney general or that the comments on a straightforward who’s-who post at Jezebel are full of bile regarding Carly Fiorina and Meg Whitman. But it is disappointing that many liberal women don’t even seem to want the GOP to
have strong female candidates."

It's basically what I've always known. Today's feminists aren't about women, they are about Liberal women!

BIG BAD OBAMA!

There's nothing more pathetic than some candy-ass, pansy who's been coddled his whole life trying to act like a tough guy.
Looking for an "ass to kick", Obama? Really? Dude, you can't throw a baseball, and now you want to throw punches??? PFFFFT!

Now, if you want to talk about Presidents that can kick ass!

George Washington-- sure!
Andrew Jackson--he killed a guy in a duel. So yeah!
William Henry Harrison--yep
Zachary Taylor--for sure
Honest Abe--absolutely...if pushed
US Grant--just ask Robert E. Lee
TR--oh yeah!!
Harry Truman--bantam weight
Ike--yes sir!
JFK--maybe in his prime
LBJ--reluctantly, but yeah!
Gerald Ford--a Wolverine
Ronald Reagan--the Gipper
W--sober
Obama--*snort*

THIS IS HILARIOUS!

THE ISRAELI SITUATION IS FAR FROM FUNNY, BUT THIS IS FUNNY!

In yet another glaring example that Pres. Obama is beyond contempt!

HYATTSVILLE, Md. (AP) - President Barack Obama says the addition of 431,000 new jobs in May shows "the economy is getting stronger by the day."

The reality is that of the 431,000 jobs the President is giddy about, 411,000 are government census workers. What will happen in July when the census is over and the 411,000 evaporate?
IS IT NOVEMBER YET???

Nancy brings her religion into politics

No Nancy, I think your favorite word is...... PANDERING.

AL AND TIPPER DIDN'T WORK OUT. BLAME BUSH!

Family friend Sally Quinn told CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson that Gore winning the popular vote for president but losing the electoral vote may have done the marriage irreparable harm.

“He’s obviously suffered a lot,” Quinn said. “He’ll never get over that and neither will she.”

Well, there you have it, "IRREPARABLE HARM"!

That bastard and evil W did it again!

VIENNA — Iran has amassed more than two tons of enriched uranium, the International Atomic Energy Agency said Monday in a report that heightened Western concerns about the country preparing to produce a nuclear weapon.

Two tons of uranium would suffice for two nuclear warheads, although Iran says it does not want weapons and is only pursuing civilian nuclear energy.

Oh, it's for civilian use! Eh, no need to worry, right?
