The protesting public school teachers with fake doctor's notes swarming the Capitol building in Madison, Wis., insist that Gov. Scott Walker is hell-bent on "union busting." Walker denies that his effort to reform public-sector unions in Wisconsin is anything more than an honest attempt at balancing the state's books.

I hope the protesters are right. Public unions have been a 50-year mistake.

Even FDR, the champion of today's Liberals knew the dangers of unions in the public sector. In 1937 he wrote:
"All Government employees should realize that the process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service. It has its distinct and insurmountable limitations ... The very nature and purposes of Government make it impossible for ... officials ... to bind the employer ... The employer is the whole people, who speak by means of laws enacted by their representatives ...

"Particularly, I want to emphasize my conviction that militant tactics have no place in the functions of any organization of government employees. Upon employees in the federal service rests the obligation to serve the whole people ... This obligation is paramount ... A strike of public employees manifests nothing less than an intent ... to prevent or obstruct ... Government ... Such action, looking toward the paralysis of Government ... is unthinkable and intolerable."

Can he be any clearer?

Meanwhile in Iran........
Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Sunday called on Muslims to "remove" the US from the Islamic world.

"The main problem in the Muslim world is the presence of the United States. It is the biggest problem. We need to address that," he told a gathering of Shiite and Sunni scholars in Tehran for an international conference on Islam.

"It is necessary to remove the US from the Islamic world," the all-powerful cleric and Islamic republic's commander-in-chief said, adding that the country's arch-foe was currently weak.

He said what? That the US is CURRENTLY WEAK! REALLY?!

Governor Christie at AEI

Yes, this video is long, but it's MUST WATCH stuff.

Typical MSNBC

Listen to the hysterical, mean spirited, attack-dog Lawrence O'Donnell going after this guy for sleeping in his DC office.

Pelosi flying coast-to-coast on Air Force jets. NO PROBLEM!
Rangle blatantly cheating on taxes. NO PROBLEM!
Nope! No liberal bias here!

I'm liking this guy more and more!

How refreshing to see a politician disarm the smug, tight-ass, self-absorbed lefties with comedy. I love it!

Respect! Learning curve!
While O was running, everyone was talking about how brilliant he was, how he was the most qualified, and how he was the "chosen one" Yet, we knew that he was nothing but a sleeazy, punk, community organizer.
Now that he's completely f*cking up everything he touches, we are being told to be tolerant and respectful while he's "learning"

Two words: F*CK YOU!

As I said in the post below, this administration has no clue.

(Reuters) - Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak on Thursday said he was not stepping down, although he transferred power to his vice president.

Way to go Obama administration!

This is what I heard on the radio driving around this afternoon.

CIA director Leon Panetta proclaimed a “strong likelihood” that Mubarak would be out today.

And then, a CIA spokesman quickly retracted the statement because Panetta was basing his assessment on cable news reports — not independent US intel. Did you get that? Panetta was getting his intel from CNN.

A bit later, Panetta’s office assures us they are “monitoring the situation.”

And from White House spokesman Robert Gibbs, I learned that it’s a “fluid situation.”

I don't think these guys have a clue about what's going on in Egypt

The Religion of Peace Strikes Against.............

This is what happens when a government singles-out individuals or groups.
Remember when the Obama administration singled-out AIG executives, provided their addresses and protesters showed-up?

51% ??

More than half of registered voters believe President Obama will lose a bid for a second term, even as more Americans say they approve of his job performance than at any time in more than a year.

A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey, released Tuesday, shows 51 percent of registered voters, and the same percentage of adult Americans, believe Obama will lose if he runs for re-election. 46 percent say he would win.
HINT: If you thought he was reckless in his first term, what do you think he'll be like in a second term?

Shell Alaska has dropped plans to drill in the Arctic waters of the Beaufort Sea this year and will concentrate on obtaining permits for the 2012 season, company Vice President Pete Slaiby said Thursday.

The recent remand of air permits issued by the Environmental Protection Agency was the final driver behind the decision, Slaiby said at a news conference.

Alaska receives upward of 90 percent of its general fund revenue from the petroleum industry, and top state officials reacted strongly to the decision. U.S. Sen. Mark Begich, D-Alaska, blamed the Obama administration and the EPA.

“Their foot dragging means the loss of another exploration season in Alaska, the loss of nearly 800 direct jobs and many more indirect jobs,” Begich said. “That doesn’t count the millions of dollars in contracting that won’t happen either at a time when our economy needs the investment.”
And for further proof that the FOOL in the White House is dead-set on continuing to systematically wreck the US economy, I give you this:

The wisdom of Rahm.

"you never want a serious crisis to go to waste"
I think the Muslim Brotherhood was paying attention.

LONDON, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- European leaders Thursday stepped up pressure on Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to immediately launch a political transition in Egypt and protect demonstrators. (UPI.COM)

President Obama, who spoke to the Egyptian leader for 30 minutes, appeared before the cameras at the White House and said the transition "must be meaningful, it must be peaceful, and it must begin now." (USATODAY)

Prime Minister David Cameron has issued a joint call with US President Barack Obama for an "orderly transition" to a democratic government in Egypt. (BBC)

"We want to see an orderly transition so that no one fills a void, that there not be a void, that there be a well thought-out plan that will bring about a participatory government," (HILLARY CLINTON)

The Obama administration firmly aligned itself on Sunday with the protest movement that has overtaken Egypt, calling for an "orderly transition" (WASHINGTON POST)

President Obama was briefed this morning by phone by DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano and FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate regarding the ongoing preparations for the large winter storm that is forecasted to affect more than two dozen states by the end of the week.

I have a solution to the snow problem Mr. President, why don't you just mandate everyone buy snowblowers................ from the federal government.
