If he's in Afghanistan..........

he's a terrorist. If he's in Libya, he's a rebel/freedom fighter. Confused? You should be. I was thinking about the sides the Obama administration has taken in the Middle East, and what I see is that Obama only insists on regime change when the country is neutral or pro-Israel. Libya and Egypt weren't rabid anti-Israel, so Obama pushes for change. On the other hand, Iran, Yemen, and Syria, who are anti-Israel and openly sponsor anti-Israel terrorists, are pretty much left alone when it comes to the regime change mantra. Just a thought............

3 QUESTIONS THAT THE PRESIDENT NEEDS TO BE ASKED.

1. Who is in charge of the military actions in Lybia? What country? NATO? Who is directing this?

2. Who are the members of the COALITION we hear so much about? What countries?

3. What are the responsibilities of the members of the COALITION? Are they military, financial, logistical, what?

WOW! Clever way of reducing our dependence on foreign oil!

Let's remember that Obama has not only refused to lift the ban on offshore drilling, but he has consistently demonized oil and gas companies whenever possible. Obama has also done everything possible to stop Alaskan exploration and drilling. So, when he addressed a group of Brazilian businessmen at a CEO Summit during his trip to South America over the weekend, he told them that they should begin drilling in their offshore oil reserves so the United States can be a paying customer in the future, adding that the United States would help them do it.

Obama told them: “We want to help you with the technology and support to develop these oil reserves safely. And when you’re ready to start selling, we want to be one of your best customers. At a time when we’ve been reminded how easily instability in other parts of the world can affect the price of oil, the United States could not be happier with the potential for a new, stable source of energy.”

I hope Republican 2012 candidates are taking notes.

RIO DE JANEIRO – Brazilian oil giant Petrobras said it received approval from U.S. officials to begin oil and gas production from fields in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.

The U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement, or BOEMRE, approved a production license on Thursday for Petrobras America, Inc., a unit of Petrobras, covering the Cascade-Chinook project.

Other companies can't "explore" in the Gulf of Mexico, but Petrobras can?
I'm sure this is just a coincidence

AND SPEAKING OF NEW ORLEANS...........

Harry Shearer of The Simpsons fame, has put together a documentary, The Big Uneasy, about post-Karina New Orleans. In an interview with the Washington Post he let's it fly.

“I didn’t formulate the project in my head until the president visited New Orleans in October 2009 and called it a ‘natural disaster’ and said it right to the face of New Orleanians, who were applauding him,” Shearer says. “When I scraped myself off the ceiling I thought, ‘Okay, radio shows and blogging and my Huffington Post articles are clearly are not impinging on either his or his country’s understanding of this event.’ ”

Eh dude! Katrina is what Obama says it is.


“I will tell you flat-out — without using the man’s name — that somebody who’s arguably quite knowledgeable about Washington said to me, ‘[David] Axelrod and [Rahm] Emanuel don’t want to do anything to help New Orleans,’ ” he says gravely, his voice lowering, about Obama’s senior adviser and former chief of staff. “ ‘That just makes [Louisiana Gov.] Bobby Jindal look good.’ ”

Mr. Shearer better forget the Washington D. C. cocktail circuit!

For years, politicians have been “kicking the can” down the street when it came to fiscal responsibility. They have given government employees the sun, the moon, and the stars. Now we see several governors with the balls to say ENOUGH, and the petulant union cry-babies have become unhinged.
What’s next, storm the state capitols?

(Reuters) - Republican Gov. Scott Walker on Monday gave absent Democratic lawmakers an ultimatum to return to Wisconsin within 24 hours and vote on a proposal to reduce the power of public sector unions or the state would miss out on a debt restructuring.
Now, let's see what happens. If they show-up, they take a vote. If they choose not to show-up, will lay-offs begin? It's crunch time.

The protesting public school teachers with fake doctor's notes swarming the Capitol building in Madison, Wis., insist that Gov. Scott Walker is hell-bent on "union busting." Walker denies that his effort to reform public-sector unions in Wisconsin is anything more than an honest attempt at balancing the state's books.

I hope the protesters are right. Public unions have been a 50-year mistake.

Even FDR, the champion of today's Liberals knew the dangers of unions in the public sector. In 1937 he wrote:
"All Government employees should realize that the process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service. It has its distinct and insurmountable limitations ... The very nature and purposes of Government make it impossible for ... officials ... to bind the employer ... The employer is the whole people, who speak by means of laws enacted by their representatives ...

"Particularly, I want to emphasize my conviction that militant tactics have no place in the functions of any organization of government employees. Upon employees in the federal service rests the obligation to serve the whole people ... This obligation is paramount ... A strike of public employees manifests nothing less than an intent ... to prevent or obstruct ... Government ... Such action, looking toward the paralysis of Government ... is unthinkable and intolerable."

Madison schools will open Tuesday for the first time in a week, but it won't be just any other school day.

Civil rights icon the Rev. Jesse Jackson will greet East High School students over the loudspeaker in the morning. Students have made posters in support of their teachers. And classrooms are likely to be buzzing with discussion over the four-day teacher sick-out prompted by Gov. Scott Walker's proposal to limit collective bargaining.

Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Sunday called on Muslims to "remove" the US from the Islamic world.

"The main problem in the Muslim world is the presence of the United States. It is the biggest problem. We need to address that," he told a gathering of Shiite and Sunni scholars in Tehran for an international conference on Islam.

"It is necessary to remove the US from the Islamic world," the all-powerful cleric and Islamic republic's commander-in-chief said, adding that the country's arch-foe was currently weak.

He said what? That the US is CURRENTLY WEAK! REALLY?!
