Stimulating Unemployment. If you can't create any jobs, pay people not to work.

Presidents typically invite Americans to appear at Rose Garden press conferences to trumpet their policy successes, but yesterday we saw what may have been a first. President Obama introduced three Americans—an auto worker, a fitness center employee and a woman in real estate—who've been out of work so long they underscore the failure of his economic program. Where are his spinmeisters when he really needs them?
Unemployment benefits are now for 2 years. 2 years of getting paid to do nothing!
Is this administration creating another layer to the already vile welfare state?
Another layer of government dependent, non-producing citizens?

I'm waiting to hear the speech in which Obama tells Americans clinging to their jobs and homes how overjoyed they should be to pay ever-rising taxes to cover unemployment benefits for one in 10 workers . . . .

But I'm not holding my breath.

Not only the 1 in 10, but when 48% don't pay Federal Taxes, what's the real number?
