WASHINGTON (AP) -- Wary of a new surge in gas prices, the Obama administration has decided to release 30 million barrels of oil from the country's emergency reserve as part of a broader international response to lost oil supplies caused by turmoil in the Middle East and North Africa, particularly Libya.

The release from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve will amount to half of a 60 million barrel international infusion of oil planned for the world market over the next month.



WOW! So we are coming-up with half. Half!

Did AP say there was "turmoil" in Lybia? Really how so?

No problem! All we have to do is increase oil drilling to get our reserves back up. Say what? We have a drilling moratorium!
But you know what, that's ok because we have nuclear plants coming-on-line. What? We don't?

No problem, our coal plants will kick-in. Huh? Coal plants are being shut down?

Yeah but, wind, solar, and tidal energy is growing by leaps and bounds! What! .05% of the worlds energy comes from solar, wind, tidal and geothermal energy!

Ok, but those U.S. Strategic Reserves are there in case of an emergency. I mean, what are the chances that..................................
