This is what I heard on the radio driving around this afternoon.

CIA director Leon Panetta proclaimed a “strong likelihood” that Mubarak would be out today.

And then, a CIA spokesman quickly retracted the statement because Panetta was basing his assessment on cable news reports — not independent US intel. Did you get that? Panetta was getting his intel from CNN.

A bit later, Panetta’s office assures us they are “monitoring the situation.”

And from White House spokesman Robert Gibbs, I learned that it’s a “fluid situation.”

I don't think these guys have a clue about what's going on in Egypt
