GOING GREEN!

You want to go green? No, no, no, do you really want to go green?
This is the latest little craze from the green-folks. Dying green.
Here are tips on green funerals, and here is your very own Ecoffin.

Here are the "number" on Green Funerals:

  • 50 million: Trees that are cut down in India each year for funeral pyres. This releases 8 million tons of carbon dioxide.

  • 200: The number of green and woodland burial sites in the U.K.

  • Up to 16 percent: Mercury emissions in the U.K. that come from crematoria because of the fillings in teeth. This percentage is expected to increase to 25 percent by 2020.

  • 1.6 million: Tons of reinforced concrete buried in the U.S. each year in the construction of vaults.
Now won't you please do your part..................................................DIE GREEN.

Heh, heh, heh.

Okay, now we've got a problem.

By speeding up the mortality rate, socialized medicine increases the "pollution" associated with dying.

Ah, Progressives! You can't live with 'em, and you can't die without 'em.

You have got to be kidding?!?!

This whole going green movement is enough to make me want to go and buy a full size Hummer.

I heard on Glenn Beck this morning how our tax payer dollars are being spent by the government at fatherhood.gov. Most of the suggestions of how to be a good father there involve teaching your kids to recycle and use compact fluorescent bulbs etc.

Wow, I thought being a good father was more in line with loving your kids and teaching them to be honest, productive adults. I sure am glad that the government set me straight that it really is all about being green.

I think most reasonable people want to protect the environment to the best of our ability, but this green and global warming movement has done more to harm 'real' environmental issues than anything else. What we have now is a fake environmental movement. Where is the outrage!? ;-)

Murali, are you saying that there is an agenda in the 'environmental movement' aside from clean water and clean air???

Murali said...

Yep, a movement with an agenda led by leader Mikhail G. Marx!
