Will Cairo/Islam 'buy' hope and change?
Pres. Hopey-Changey gave a nice inspirational speech this morning in Cairo.
"I have come here to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world, one based upon mutual interest and mutual respect,"
It was an appropriate speech............if the root of the problem was political.
The root of the problem is not political, Pres. Hopey-Changey.........it's religious and a 6,000 word speech will hardly eradicate the thousands of Madrasas that will foment tens of thousand young Muslims within an hour after your speech.
Pres. Hopey-Changey has reached out and has probably done all he can, and for that I give him a tip-of-the-hat, but reaching out is only effective if the other side also reaches out.
We shouldn't make a habit of reaching out...if we are reaching out into a vacuum.
