Two days ago at his press conference, Obama dropped this little nuggett.
"And I do not want, and I will not accept, a deal in which I am asked to do nothing, in fact, I’m able to keep hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional income that I don’t need, while a parent out there who is struggling to figure out how to send their kid to college suddenly finds that they’ve got a couple thousand dollars less in grants or student loans."
So in Obama-World, if I make $350,000 a year and my "nut" is $120,000 that $230,000 of "additional income" shouldn't be mine but the government's to dole out?
Does anyone think that Obama's "your money is the government's money" mindset is having an impact on the mind's of America's job creators? I know this administration doesn't give a shit about capitalism, but somebody better start paying attention to THIS.

COLOR ME SHOCKED!!!!
Unemployment at 9.2%
In his speech today, Obama, with a straight face, said that uncertainty over the debt limit is among the many factors making companies hesitant to hire and invest. PFFFFFT!

Gee! Who would have thought?
On Friday, righ before the long Fourth of July weekend, the White house released a report on the results of the Stimulus Package. Releasing it on Friday assured minimal coverage. Wonder why?
The report was written by the White House’s Council of Economic Advisors, a group of three economists who were all handpicked by Obama, and it chronicles the alleged success of the “stimulus” in adding or saving jobs. The council reports that, using “mainstream estimates of economic multipliers for the effects of fiscal stimulus”, the “stimulus” has added or saved just under 2.4 million jobs — whether private or public — at a cost (to date) of $666 billion. That’s a cost to taxpayers of $278,000 per job.
Now just think for one minute. We all know about the huge growth of government jobs created by the "stimulus". Those jobs not only cost $278,000 per tax-payer, but since these are government jobs, what is the actual and real cost of these jobs? Their future salaries and benefits, which are quite handsome, are also paid for by tax-payers. And how do these government jobs contribute to the actual economy? What do they create/make? How do they impact GDP?
Bottom line: This administration has created/saved jobs that will be an even bigger drag on the US economy.

YOU CAN'T BELIEVE 1 WORD THAT COMES OUT OF THIS W.H.
"Air Force and Navy aircraft are still flying hundreds of strike missions over Libya despite the Obama administration’s claim that American forces are playing only a limited support role in the NATO operation"
"A White House report on Libya sent to Congress on June 15 says that “American strikes are limited to the suppression of enemy air defense and occasional strikes by unmanned Predator UAVs against a specific set of targets.” The report also says the U.S. provides an “alert strike package.”
Here folks, have another bullshit sandwich while the MSM orders seconds!

WHO KEEPS ELECTING THIS F*CKING IDIOT?
So he's in Syria kissing Assad's ass, and talking about "asspirations for freedom" while Assad has been killing hundreds of the "opposition" demonstrating in the streets.
Somebody needs to slap the shit out of this little munchkin!!
Apologize for speaking WHAT YOU BELIEVE!!!
He calls the President a DICK when he thought he was off-mike, and apologizes when he returns. REALLY! So off-mike you're a liar? Oh ok. When they don’t think they are being heard, that’s when they tell the truth .Then again, it happened on MSNBC so nobody saw it.

So which is it, Hillary?
Realizing that there is opposition to the "actions" in Lybia, Sec. of State Hillary Clinton responded with: "But the bottom line is, whose side are you on? Are you on Qadhafi’s side or are you on the side of the aspirations of the Libyan people and the international coalition that has been created to support them?"
Wow! Strong and heartfelt, right?
Not really. Back in 2003 when she was a Senator, and Iraq was the topic, this is what she said:
"I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you’re not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration"

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Wary of a new surge in gas prices, the Obama administration has decided to release 30 million barrels of oil from the country's emergency reserve as part of a broader international response to lost oil supplies caused by turmoil in the Middle East and North Africa, particularly Libya.
The release from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve will amount to half of a 60 million barrel international infusion of oil planned for the world market over the next month.

WOW! So we are coming-up with half. Half!
Did AP say there was "turmoil" in Lybia? Really how so?
No problem! All we have to do is increase oil drilling to get our reserves back up. Say what? We have a drilling moratorium!
But you know what, that's ok because we have nuclear plants coming-on-line. What? We don't?
But you know what, that's ok because we have nuclear plants coming-on-line. What? We don't?
No problem, our coal plants will kick-in. Huh? Coal plants are being shut down?
Yeah but, wind, solar, and tidal energy is growing by leaps and bounds! What! .05% of the worlds energy comes from solar, wind, tidal and geothermal energy!
Ok, but those U.S. Strategic Reserves are there in case of an emergency. I mean, what are the chances that..................................

This is interesting....................
Seems like Hillary is interested in the presidency of the World Bank.
Oh, that's right! The cattle futures! Surely, a woman who can parlay a $1,000 investment into $100,000, just by trading in her spare time away from her work as a lawyer and wife of a state level politician, can do this job?
Yeah, and she handled the Rose law firm books, so she's also got that goin for her.
Makes sense to me, but wait! You mean it would be okay for her to quit before she finished her term?

A while back, I remember there was a meeting of European leaders at the White House. I remember seeing photos of Princess Letizia of Spain and Carla Bruni of France. Both are quite attractive.
What I didn't know was that the photos were CROPPED!

SCUM!
Weiner fesses up to bonergate. Why? Because he was caught dead-to-rights. He was BUSTED!
He lied. He said he was hacked. He shamelessly let people defend him, and he allowed others to be accused of trying to set him up. In true guilty fashion, he attacked the messengers, and let supporters flap in the wind.
He’s cowardly, despicable, incredibly arrogant, and now he’s busted. WHAT SCUM!
Will he give up his seat? Of course not, he's a power hungry, arrogant Liberal.................... it's who they are.
The next targets will be the women he Twitted. They will be under the microscope and their lives exposed. Will N.O.W. or other feminist come to their aid/support? Pleeease! They're Liberals! They protect their own.

PALIN ON FOX SUNDAY.
Take away all of the baggage that Palin was hit with in the last election (a lot was warranted) and listen to her interview this past Sunday with Chris Wallace.
While not overly inspiring, if you take away all the old baggage, does she not sound as equally-capable as the other candidates? Does she not come-off 100% better? I think she does!

Oh, ok!
And every attorney can only make $40 an hour to reduce legal bills.
And every carpenter can only make $9 an hour to reduce housing costs.
And every UAW member can only make $8 an hour to reduce automobile costs.
And every actor can only make $80K a movie to reduce the cost of movie tickets.
And every ailine pilot can only make $60k to reduce the cost of flying.
Yep! Sound like a good idea, Chuck!
Oh yeah, and Senators can only make $30K a year!
NICE LEAD-IN!
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Employment rose far less than expected in May to record its weakest reading since September, while the jobless rate rose to 9.1 percent as high energy prices and the effects of Japan's earthquake bogged down the economy.
"Employment rose far less than expected" Shouldn't that read "Unemployment rose to 9.1 %"?
And the blame for the rise in US unemployment is the Japan earthquake and energy prices!
Of course the policies of the clown above had nothing to do with it. It was that damn earthquake!

Why there is no peace, and what Obama refuses to understand.
“We cannot negotiate with those who say, `What's mine is mine and what's yours is negotiable.’" --President John Fitzgerald Kennedy
By Barry Rubin
You can read for yourselves Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to the U.S. Congress. Both on regional issues and the Israel-Palestinian question he was quite clear. His speech was vastly superior to those by Obama not just because of the policy content but because he deals with regional realities that the president ignores or just gets completely wrong.
But what I want to talk about here is a remarkable juxtaposition that no one else seems to have noticed. If you understand this article, you can understand all of the problems of the Middle East. If you don't, please go mess up the lives of people elsewhere.
To set up this point I must first quote extensively from Netanyahu’s speech. He said:
“This is the land of our forefathers, the Land of Israel, to which Abraham brought the idea of one God, where David set out to confront Goliath, and where Isaiah saw a vision of eternal peace. No distortion of history can deny the four thousand year old bond, between the Jewish people and the Jewish land.
“But there is another truth: The Palestinians share this small land with us. We seek a peace in which they will be neither Israel’s subjects nor its citizens. They should enjoy a national life of dignity as a free, viable and independent people in their own state. They should enjoy a prosperous economy, where their creativity and initiative can flourish.”
So this is a classic Western—indeed a classic liberal Western—formulation. We have our rights but we also respect your rights. Let’s find a win-win situation that benefits everyone.
Netanyahu added:
“They [the Palestinians] were simply unwilling to end the conflict. And I regret to say this: They continue to educate their children to hate. They continue to name public squares after terrorists. And worst of all, they continue to perpetuate the fantasy that Israel will one day be flooded by the descendants of Palestinian refugees."
In a moment, watch Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas prove Netanyahu's first sentence to be true.
“My friends, this must come to an end. President Abbas must do what I have done. I stood before my people, and I told you it wasn’t easy for me, and I said… `I will accept a Palestinian state.' It is time for President Abbas to stand before his people and say… `I will accept a Jewish state.'"
Remember that challenge.
“Those six words will change history. They will make clear to the Palestinians that this conflict must come to an end. That they are not building a state to continue the conflict with Israel, but to end it. They will convince the people of Israel that they have a true partner for peace. With such a partner, the people of Israel will be prepared to make a far reaching compromise. I will be prepared to make a far reaching compromise.”
In other words, once the Palestinians really acknowledge—which they have not done—the Jewish connection to the land Israel will know they are a partner for peace and make more compromises.
Now, here’s the part nobody noticed. Abbas answered Netanyahu!
In a major speech for “Nakba Day,” that is the Palestinian day of mourning that Israel was ever created in the first place, Abbas said:
“We say to him [Netanyahu], when he claims - that they [Jews] have a historical right dating back to 3000 years [BC] - we say that the nation of Palestine upon the land of Canaan had a 7000 year history [BC]. This is the truth, which must be understood and we have to note it, in order to say: 'Netanyahu, you are incidental in history. We are the people of history. We are the owners of history.’"
Do you understand?
Netanyahu said: We have rights; you have rights. We recognize yours and when you recognize ours we can have peace. Your refusal to recognize our rights—to demand total victory for yourself (which means Israel’s disappearance)—makes peace impossible.
And what did Abbas (whose name cannot appear in the American media without the word “moderate” being attached to him) answer:
Well, we don’t recognize that you have any rights. All the rights belong to us! You are just a passing breeze that will become extinct and you are of no importance.
So that’s the bottom line. Even in the year 2011--as happened in the year 1948--even a relative moderate like Abbas simply cannot bring himself to say in Arabic: “Let’s share this land in a two-state solution.”
Ironically, Netanyahu is taking a liberal and flexible position while Abbas is taking a reactionary, imperialistic stance. Talk about accepting the “other!”
And yet not a single professor in any university class, not a single journalist or expert in the mass media will raise or even report that point. President Obama won’t pick up on it to chide the Palestinians. Nobody will start calling Netanyahu moderate and peace-seeking while saying that Abbas is extremist and peace-rejecting.
Nevertheless, what simpler and more graphic example could anyone want?
Now you know why peace is impossible. It isn’t because Israel won’t go back to the 1967 borders. It’s because the Palestinian leadership still believes and tells its people that Israel has no right to exist.
PS: Abbas's history is of course rubbish. There is no connection between ancient Canaanites--who don't go back anywhere near that far--and modern Arabs. Since the Canaanites weren't Muslims, Abbas is acting as a pure opportunist since no Arab nation accepts such pre-Islamic connections any way.
But I love that phrase he said, "We are the owners of history." In other words, we can make up any lie we want and to Hell with the consequences.
The Jewish Temple? Never existed in Jerusalem!
Did we miss a chance to have our own state in 1947? Never happened!
Is it crazy to go on fighting for decades hoping to destroy Israel rather than make acompromise peace now? No alternative. Israel doesn't want peace.
If you are so oppressed and suffering why aren't you in a hurry to negotiate with Israel and make a deal? No! First, they must give us what we want beforehand. We're in no hurry at all because what good is a deal if we have to give up the hope of total victory in the future!
Abbas has told us everything we need to know about who doesn't want peace. And here's the reality of the Palestinian Authority position (not to mention that of its partner, Hamas): If you can't have peace without accepting Israel's permanent existence then it is better not to have peace at all.

At first I felt bad when I watched this, but then..........
I remembered Obama's history . . .
February 2009:
-- OBAMA returns the valuable bust of Churchill the British loaned us, without telling the British government first.
March 2009:
-- OBAMA doesn't greet the British PM at the airport.
-- OBAMA gives the nearly-blind British PM a gift of not particularly special DVDs that won't play on British DVD players.
April 2009:
-- MICHELLE breaks protocol by touching the Queen.
-- MICHELLE gives the Queen an iPod with Obama speeches on it.
-- OBAMA calls Britain "England" in a speech in Britain.
May 2009:
-- OBAMA Administration excludes the Queen from D-Day anniversary plans.
June 2010:
-- OBAMA repeatedly refers to BP as "British Petroleum", triggering annoyance in Britain (BP is a merger of British Petroleum and the American Oil Co).
. . . you'd think the President would be very, very careful to make sure everything went correctly this time.
Apparently not.

THE OBAMA HYPOCRISY
Although claiming that we should not gloat or "spike the football", today Obama is continuing his victory lap in Indiana and Kentucky.
This however pales compared to how this administration got the information that led to the killing of OBL.
"Consider how the intelligence that led to bin Laden came to hand. It began with a disclosure from Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM), who broke like a dam under the pressure of harsh interrogation techniques that included waterboarding. He loosed a torrent of information—including eventually the nickname of a trusted courier of bin Laden"
So says former U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey.
The Obama administration has ended these interrogations and is investigating CIA employees who conducted them.

?????????????????????????
It seems that with every minute that passes, the White House comes up with a different story about the events in Pakistan and OBL. These guys can't get their stories straight, and it's been my experience that when that happens there's a lot of bullshit going on.
Oh, and to make matters worse...............THIS is now seeping out!
It now appears that the story has begun to unravel, and the dithering continues regarding the release of the photos, the lashings of Pakistan, followed by assertions that Pakistan is an ally, lets' not gloat, but let's have a rally at ground zero – all of it threatens to turn this from a big win to a big loss for America.

It seems the White House is having some doubt about releasing the pictures of OBL after he was killed. They feel that releasing them would "inflame" the Muslim world.
Gee! I don't remember anyone having any problem releasing this or this.
And remember when we had to see all the coffins flying into Dover Air Force base so we would realize "the true cost of war"

TOLD YA!
WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama's choice of expert budget-cutter Leon Panetta to lead the Defense Department is a clear signal that the White House perceives the nation's deficit crisis, not the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, as its toughest challenge.
No, that's not from The Onion, it's from AP.
Don't know what's funnier the "expert budget cutter" part, or that the White House now sees the deficit as a problem. Unfortunately, those boys at the pentagon better strap-on their jocks!

THE NEW YORK TIMES...................
has set the tone for the 2012 Presidential race.
It's actually quite simple! If you don't vote for Obama, you are racist. If you question Obama, you are racist.
"That’s because the birther question was never really about citizenship; it was simply a proxy for those who never accepted the president’s legitimacy, for a toxic mix of reasons involving ideology, deep political anger and, most insidious of all, race"
Here, read for yourself.
Let's also conveniently forget the fact that Hillary was the first to raise the BIRTH issue in 2008 with an anonymous email.

I have no doubt THE DONALD will not run for President, and is the biggest publicity whore this side of Bill Clinton, but he is getting under Obama's skin.
THE DONALD pestered him and got him to release his birth certificate, which he hadn't done in order to conveniently keep the birther issue on the table. When THE DONALD brought it up, it got legitimacy, and Obama had to respond. Now THE DONALD is asking more questions. This is great!

OH, HOW NICE!
Washington (CNN) -- President Barack Obama will name CIA Director Leon Panetta as his nominee to succeed Robert Gates as defense secretary, a U.S. official said Wednesday.
Forget the fact that Leon isn't qualified to run the US military, what this appointment tells me is one thing. Obama is dead-set on not cutting ANYTHING in the budget.......... except the military.
Can you think of a better hatchet-man than Leon to strip 400 billion from the Pentagon?

Does the GOP know who the enemy is?
Tea party lawmakers are being targeted for elimination by their own party, as old-guard Republicans use the Census-mandated redistricting process to erase seats won by last year’s upstarts, the National Journal reports.
House freshmen from several GOP-majority states are in danger of losing out in a political realignment that rewards more connected veteran representatives. It may be cold comfort to tea partyers that the hostile redistricting process proves their point: They really don’t belong to the political establishment.
“They did not have ties with incumbents and weren’t afforded a seat at the table,” said political journalist Ed Feigenbaum.

WHERE HAVE ALL THE ANTI-WAR PROTESTORS GONE?
The anti-war movement was all over the news before President Obama was elected. But apparently they weren’t really anti-war ... they were just anti-President Bush. Two college professors just released a study of national protests between 2007 and 2009. What did they find?
… After January 2007, the attendance at antiwar rallies [measured in] roughly the tens of thousands, or thousands, through the end of 2008.
… After the election of Barack Obama as president, the order of magnitude of antiwar protests dropped [...] Organizers were hard pressed to stage a rally with participation in the thousands, or even in the hundreds. For example, we counted exactly 107 participants at a Chicago rally on October 7, 2009.
Amazing. Especially because the war in Afghanistan ramped up after Obama was elected. American fatalities shot up in 2009 and 2010.
The protesters have remained silent over Libya.
And I’m struck by the hypocrisy of the supposedly “anti-war” politicians who voted against Iraq, like Nancy Pelosi. Since Obama was elected, she has voted to continue the war in Afghanistan … and supported the attack on Libya.
When is the last time you heard anything about Iraq and the 50,000 Americans that are still there?

EH! NO BIG DEAL!
Today Standard and Poors (S&P) warned of a "possible" downgrade in US credit rating. This is unprecedented in US history, and while most people took notice, including the major markets, the Obama Administration took it as politics as usual.
"I don't think that we should make too much out of that," top White House economist Austan Goolsbee, referring to the S&P downgrade.
"What the S&P is doing is making a political judgment and it is one that we don't agree with," Ah yes, the S&P is in the business of playing politics. Yeah right!

MOTHER EARTH TO HAVE SAME RIGHTS AS HUMANS.
In the never-ending attempt to crush Capitalism, Bolivia will propose a U.N. treaty this month for the protection of what it calls nature’s fundamental rights. A “Ministry of Mother Earth” would be created, with an ombudsman to hear nature’s cries and translate them for bureaucrats.
"If you want to have balance, and you think that the only (entities) who have rights are humans or companies, then how can you reach balance?" Said Pablo Salon, Bolivia's ambassador to the UN. "But if you recognize that nature too has rights, and (if you provide) legal forms to protect and preserve those rights, then you can achieve balance." READ MORE

Obama's answer to high gas prices: F*CK YOU!
At a "town hall" meeting yesterday, Obama was asked by a man in the audience about the high price of oil. Obama responded with: “If you’re complaining about the price of gas and you’re only getting 8 miles a gallon, you know,” Obama said laughingly. “You might want to think about a trade-in.”
So if you are a rancher, plumber, carpenter, caterer, delivery-man, landscaper, roofer, electrician, contractor or you need to use a truck or van for your business, the President just told you to go F*CK yourself.
Trade in the truck, van, or vehicle you depend on for your business and buy an electric car. What an arrogant piece of $hit!

DRILL BABY DRILL! Eh, wait a minute............
HAVANA — Cuba on Tuesday announced plans to drill five deepwater oil wells in the Gulf of Mexico beginning this summer, expressing confidence that its efforts will be rewarded with major new energy finds. "We're about to move to the drilling phase," said Manuel Marrero, an official with the government authority tasked with overseeing Cuba's oil sector. "We're all really hopeful that we will be able to discover large reserves of oil and gas," said Marrero, who added that the ventures would be undertaken with the help of unspecified foreign companies. MORE Of course this is with the help of Chinese technology and Cuban oversight. You folks in Florida and especially the Keys have nothing to worry about.

AH YES, NOTHING LIKE PRIORITIES!
NYT -President Obama had a message for the American people Monday night, an explanation of the government’s intentions in Libya, one that he believed was important enough to request air time from the broadcast networks as well as the cable news networks. But the administration also recognized that some networks, like ABC, had important priorities of their own: the programs they had scheduled for prime time Monday — like “Dancing with the Stars,” the second most-watched show on television. After some friendly negotiations, all parties agreed to a mutually acceptable time: 7:30 Eastern, which meant the speech on the military situation in Libya could be delivered — and analyzed — in time for the fans of “Dancing,” as well as other scheduled network shows, to see the shows they expected to see at their regularly scheduled times. WTF!
CAMP LEJEUNE (WTVD) -- Twenty-two hundred Marines and sailors from Camp Lejeune are preparing to deploy off the coast of Libya in northern Africa. They said goodbye to their families Monday afternoon, and they'll be leaving in the days ahead. Two thousand two hundred Marines! No American soldiers on Libyan soil? Oh ok!
THE OBAMA DOCTRINE.
The Obama Doctrine was clearly spelled-out last night:
"The United States will do what I want, when I want it, and then I'll make it sound like it's just a one-time event."

If he's in Afghanistan..........
he's a terrorist. If he's in Libya, he's a rebel/freedom fighter. Confused? You should be. I was thinking about the sides the Obama administration has taken in the Middle East, and what I see is that Obama only insists on regime change when the country is neutral or pro-Israel. Libya and Egypt weren't rabid anti-Israel, so Obama pushes for change. On the other hand, Iran, Yemen, and Syria, who are anti-Israel and openly sponsor anti-Israel terrorists, are pretty much left alone when it comes to the regime change mantra. Just a thought............

WOW! Clever way of reducing our dependence on foreign oil!
Let's remember that Obama has not only refused to lift the ban on offshore drilling, but he has consistently demonized oil and gas companies whenever possible. Obama has also done everything possible to stop Alaskan exploration and drilling. So, when he addressed a group of Brazilian businessmen at a CEO Summit during his trip to South America over the weekend, he told them that they should begin drilling in their offshore oil reserves so the United States can be a paying customer in the future, adding that the United States would help them do it.
Obama told them: “We want to help you with the technology and support to develop these oil reserves safely. And when you’re ready to start selling, we want to be one of your best customers. At a time when we’ve been reminded how easily instability in other parts of the world can affect the price of oil, the United States could not be happier with the potential for a new, stable source of energy.”
I hope Republican 2012 candidates are taking notes.

Drill baby drill!
RIO DE JANEIRO – Brazilian oil giant Petrobras said it received approval from U.S. officials to begin oil and gas production from fields in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.
The U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement, or BOEMRE, approved a production license on Thursday for Petrobras America, Inc., a unit of Petrobras, covering the Cascade-Chinook project.
Other companies can't "explore" in the Gulf of Mexico, but Petrobras can?
I'm sure this is just a coincidence

AND SPEAKING OF NEW ORLEANS...........
Harry Shearer of The Simpsons fame, has put together a documentary, The Big Uneasy, about post-Karina New Orleans. In an interview with the Washington Post he let's it fly.
“I didn’t formulate the project in my head until the president visited New Orleans in October 2009 and called it a ‘natural disaster’ and said it right to the face of New Orleanians, who were applauding him,” Shearer says. “When I scraped myself off the ceiling I thought, ‘Okay, radio shows and blogging and my Huffington Post articles are clearly are not impinging on either his or his country’s understanding of this event.’ ”
Eh dude! Katrina is what Obama says it is.
“I will tell you flat-out — without using the man’s name — that somebody who’s arguably quite knowledgeable about Washington said to me, ‘[David] Axelrod and [Rahm] Emanuel don’t want to do anything to help New Orleans,’ ” he says gravely, his voice lowering, about Obama’s senior adviser and former chief of staff. “ ‘That just makes [Louisiana Gov.] Bobby Jindal look good.’ ”
Mr. Shearer better forget the Washington D. C. cocktail circuit!

he's certainly not buying into the pu$$ification of America...........AND I FIND THAT VERY, VERY REFRESHING!
Gov. Christie is a dictator!
For years, politicians have been “kicking the can” down the street when it came to fiscal responsibility. They have given government employees the sun, the moon, and the stars. Now we see several governors with the balls to say ENOUGH, and the petulant union cry-babies have become unhinged.
What’s next, storm the state capitols?
OK, IT'S CRUNCH TIME
(Reuters) - Republican Gov. Scott Walker on Monday gave absent Democratic lawmakers an ultimatum to return to Wisconsin within 24 hours and vote on a proposal to reduce the power of public sector unions or the state would miss out on a debt restructuring.
Now, let's see what happens. If they show-up, they take a vote. If they choose not to show-up, will lay-offs begin? It's crunch time.

The protesting public school teachers with fake doctor's notes swarming the Capitol building in Madison, Wis., insist that Gov. Scott Walker is hell-bent on "union busting." Walker denies that his effort to reform public-sector unions in Wisconsin is anything more than an honest attempt at balancing the state's books.
I hope the protesters are right. Public unions have been a 50-year mistake.

The employer is the whole people, who speak by means of laws enacted by their representatives ...
"Particularly, I want to emphasize my conviction that militant tactics have no place in the functions of any organization of government employees. Upon employees in the federal service rests the obligation to serve the whole people ... This obligation is paramount ... A strike of public employees manifests nothing less than an intent ... to prevent or obstruct ... Government ... Such action, looking toward the paralysis of Government ... is unthinkable and intolerable."

CIA director Leon Panetta proclaimed a “strong likelihood” that Mubarak would be out today.
And then, a CIA spokesman quickly retracted the statement because Panetta was basing his assessment on cable news reports — not independent US intel. Did you get that? Panetta was getting his intel from CNN.
A bit later, Panetta’s office assures us they are “monitoring the situation.”
And from White House spokesman Robert Gibbs, I learned that it’s a “fluid situation.”
I don't think these guys have a clue about what's going on in Egypt

GREEN JOBS, SOLAR, AND WIND POWER IS ALL WE WANT!
Shell Alaska has dropped plans to drill in the Arctic waters of the Beaufort Sea this year and will concentrate on obtaining permits for the 2012 season, company Vice President Pete Slaiby said Thursday.
The recent remand of air permits issued by the Environmental Protection Agency was the final driver behind the decision, Slaiby said at a news conference.
Alaska receives upward of 90 percent of its general fund revenue from the petroleum industry, and top state officials reacted strongly to the decision. U.S. Sen. Mark Begich, D-Alaska, blamed the Obama administration and the EPA.
“Their foot dragging means the loss of another exploration season in Alaska, the loss of nearly 800 direct jobs and many more indirect jobs,” Begich said. “That doesn’t count the millions of dollars in contracting that won’t happen either at a time when our economy needs the investment.”
And for further proof that the FOOL in the White House is dead-set on continuing to systematically wreck the US economy, I give you this:

Joe, you and Hosni are about 10 years too late!
When VP Joe Bidden was asked whether Egypt's President Mubarak should step down, he responded:
"No. I think the time has come for President Mubarak to begin to move in the direction that – to be more responsive to some of the needs of the people out there."
NO, he shouldn’t step down! Really?
And “ THE TIME HAS COME”? Now that Tunisia has fallen and hundreds of thousands are marching through Egyptian cities? Now is the time? Really?
So Mubarak needs to BEGIN to move in that direction? BEGIN?
He needs to be responsive to SOME of the people? SOME?
Very insightful Joe, and spoken like the ultimate politician.
Let’s also note that this has been the only “voice’ of the Obama administration.

COLOR ME SHOCKED!
U.S. border guards got a surprise when they searched a Mexican BMW and found a hardline Muslim cleric - banned from France and Canada - curled up in the boot.
Said Jaziri, who called for the death of a Danish cartoonist that drew pictures of the prophet Mohammed, was being smuggled into California when he was arrested, along with his driver Kenneth Robert Lawler.
The 43-year-old was deported from Canada to his homeland Tunisia in 2007 after it emerged he had lied on his refugee application about having served jail time in France.
I'm sure that this is just an isolated incident! Yeah, I'm sure it is...........................

BITE ME!
FROM DON SURBER:
For a decade, from the election of Bush 43 forward, the Left has lied and cheated as it tried to return to power. Al Gore made a mockery out of the American electoral system by being a spoilsport over Florida, which Bush indeed won by 537 votes. Dan Rather forged a document to try to derail Bush’s re-election. Twice Democrats stole U.S. senators from the Republicans. After voting to support the war to get by the 2002 election, many Democrats quickly soured on the war. The profane protests were cheered by liberals who misattributed “dissent is the highest form of patriotism”to Thomas Jefferson; the words belong to the late historian Howard Zinn.
Once in power, liberals were the opposite of gracious.
For two years now, I have been called ignorant, racist, angry and violent by the left. The very foul-mouthed protesters of Bush dare to now label my words as “hate speech.”
Last week, the left quickly blamed the right for the national tragedy of a shooting spree by a madman who never watched Fox News, never listened to Rush Limbaugh and likely did not know who Sarah Palin is.
Fortunately, the American public rejected out of hand that idiotic notion that the right was responsible.
Rather than apologize, the left wants to change the tone of the political debate.
The left suddenly wants civil discourse.
Bite me.
The left wants to play games of semantics.
Bite me.
The left wants us to be civil — after being so uncivil for a decade.
Bite me.
There is grown-up work to do now. Liberals ran up the federal credit card, destroyed the American medical system and undermined the rule of law — which is the foundation of capitalism — with a bunch of unconstitutional fiats from the president and his bureaucracy.
The economy is a mess. The president “inherited” a 7.6% unemployment rate. It’s now 9.4% — after we spent a record $787 billion on a stimulus.
I was not consulted on that stimulus. I had a very good argument against it. I said the money supply was too large and printing more money would fail. I said let the economic downturn run its course.
Lefties were too busy celebrating the 2008 election to listen.
When people protested lefties made vulgar remarks about tea-bagging and giggled.
So screw you and your civil discourse.
I don’t want to hear it.
I have been screamed at for 10 years.
It’s my turn now. I am not going to scream back. But I refuse to allow anyone to dictate what I say or how I say it. I refuse to allow the same foul-mouthed, foul-spirited foul people who dumped on me to now try to tell me what I may or may not say.
My free speech matters more than the feelings of anyone on the left. You don’t like what I say? Tough.
I will not allow people to label my words Hate Speech or try to lecture me on civility. I saw the lefty signs. The left’s definition of civil discourse is surreal.
We have a terribly unfit president who has expanded government control beyond not only what is constitutional but what is healthy for our freedom.
Indeed, this call for civil discourse is itself a direct threat to my free speech.
So screw you.
You don’t like my words? You don’t like my tone? You feel threatened?
Too bad.
No.
Actually, that is what I want. I want the lefties to feel bad. I want them to feel hurt. I want them to cry to their mommies.
That way the field will be cleared so we grown-ups can fix the nation and the economy. If you can’t put up with a little excrement, get the hell out of the barn.

Another NO NO!
4. “By announcing his candidacy, he's jumping into the "breech"”
BIG NO NO!
5.” He will be taking "dead aim" at moderates”
OH MY GOD!!!
6.” His speech was "riddled" with inconsistencies”
JEZZUZ!
7. “I hope his plan doesn’t “backfire” on him”

9. “He is known for “rapid-fire” answers”
HUGE NO NO!
10. “He surely “dodged a bullet” there”
OMG NO!
11. "Boy, he's certainly a straight "shooter""

12. "Going into the last days of the election, "he has him in his sight"
ARRRGH!
I can go on, but I think you get my drift.
That’s no good!

Ok Republicans, TAG YOU'RE IT!
You guys are now in control of the Congress and you were sent to do a job, a job that requires you to turn this spending madness around, and bring fiscal responsibility to Washington.
Please don't get bogged-down with petty things and just focus on reducing debt, cutting down the size of the federal government, and creating a pro-business/pro-investment environment.
Please don't get wrapped-up in going after Obama with hearings or in the courts. Americans don’t like that.
Sure the guy has been a disaster for everything working, capitalist Americans believe in, but his presidency has already been defined as a complete failure. Unless you’re a Socialist.
As I recently told a fundraiser for Marco Rubio seeking additional contributions “you guys are on probation” and if you do what you promised to do on the campaign trail, you’ll again have my support.
NOW GO DO THE RIGHT THING!

"This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal and the blackbirds will cease to fall from the sky" -- Barack Obama.
